Huge classes and insufficiently educated teachers impede the chances of Malawian children.
At the moment an education centre for secondary level is being constructed in Salima, 100 km East of the capital city Lilongwe and 20 km West of Lake Malawi. This school will fulfil highest quality standards in teaching and learning in order to offer the graduates an optimal start into their future. These high quality standards include small classes, excellently trained teachers, a room for information technology and a library. Apart from conventional school classes we value the support of musical, artistic and sport activities. Therefore, workshops for hand crafts, creating, designing and music will be on our campus as well as sport grounds for all kinds of ball games. The school is privately run in order to ensure high quality. We grant scholarships to a majority of students so that not only the children of better positioned parents can attend this school. The school fees of the paying students will allow us to finance the school operations. Admission to the school will depend on a test. |
